The University of Pittsburgh's signature building is the Cathedral of Learning. A key feature of the Cathedral are the Nationality Rooms. Little know or used is the early American room. Tucked away on an upper floor, it is a recreation of an early settler's cabin. And little known to most numismatists, the room contains a display of early American coins donated by George H. Clapp. This file contains notes and information written at different times by local numismatists Glenn A. Mooney and Wayne K. Homren.
